Pupils from across the Isle of Wight will join former Olympic swimmer Sarah Price to take part in the vital life-saving scheme Get Safe 4 Summer at their local pool this week.

A new female lifeguard, Shammim Hussain MAAT, will be watching the water at Woking's Pool in the Park, following her completion of the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and her subsequent successful employment with Woking Borough Council.

Woking residents will be able to grab a board and ride the waves at Woking’s Pool in the Park on Sunday (24 February) when the venue hosts the UK’s first indoor surfing lessons through the ASA’s Everyday Swim project.
