Open and Junior Championships: Entries Now Open

The 2009 Open and Junior Championships will be held at Aldershot Garrison pool on 7th and 8th November. Full details of the event and how to enter are now available. All entries must be received by midnight on Tuesday 20th October. 100m IM added to programme.
Officiating at Events Which Include Swimmers with a Disability

An introduction to officiating at events which include swimmers with a disability. This course will be held on 26th September 2009 betweeen 9am and 7.30pm at The Quays. Southampton.

Sporting Apprentices Graduate

Ninety-four top athletes from the world of aquatics – including double Olympic Gold medallist Becky Adlington – graduated from the Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AASE) on Saturday 28th March. Two athletes from the region were honoured with “Advanced Apprentice of the Year” awards.

Following the recent success of Team GB Swimming at the Beijing Paralympics 2008 and looking ahead to London 2012, the ASA South East Region, in partnership with Sport England, has created an exciting opportunity of a Regional Development Coach for Disability Swimming.

Exclusive Funding opportunity for Level 2 Coaching Swimming Courses

The Region has secured some additional funding to support those candidates attending the UKCC Level 2 Coaching Swimming course at K2, Crawley and St Pirans School, Maidenhead.
